1. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor

Finn Balor demanded a match against Seth Rollins while the crowd sang his theme song tonight, to which Rollins responded that since their fight at SummerSlam 2016, the two have taken different paths but would gladly accept his challenge for Money in the Bank.

Balor knocked Rollins down before using powerlams to powerslam him against a barricade. Rollins tried taking advantage of being down, but Balor hit him with both double stomps and then Falcon Arrows for two.

2. The New Day vs. Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose

The New Day are in attendance to perform a tag team match against Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. Their history between them makes this match especially significant; while also giving WWE an opportunity to push both as main event singles stars.

Ambrose was all over the map during his rant, adding to the magnitude of this triple threat at Fastlane. He spoke of Brock Lesnar’s ruthlessness while attesting that he will endure it all, which helped sell this match-up to an extremely responsive crowd.

Rusev took control of this match early, but Kalisto displayed impressive acrobatic moves to keep things interesting. The crowd went wild for it all and eventually, Kalisto won via countout.

3. The Usos vs. Adam Rose & Jimmy Uso

Zeb Colter can be seen backstage holding Jack Swagger’s leg as his music plays out and yet, no sign of Jack ever makes his entrance onstage.

The Usos attack Rusev and Lana before engaging Luke Harper and Kane. Ryback runs in and head-butts Harper while Ziggler superkicks Big Show before throwing Rowan into a steel step before beating up Harper, Kane and Ryback until finally the match ended with The Usos and Ziggler beating up Harper, Kane and Ryback.

A video package was shown that promotes Jerry Lawler and Brad Maddox’s return, along with their recent controversy. Michael Cole and Jim Ross provided commentary, helping sell their story of an unsympathetic babyface within WWE.

5. Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

Byron Saxton is backstage with Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn after they experienced defeat at GUNTHER and Kaiser last week, asking how they are handling it and asking about tonight’s plans for revenge. Zayn says he plans on doing just that.

GUNTHER and Zayn lock up early in the match and trade punches until GUNTHER connects with both an Exploder suplex and Blue Thunder Bomb attempt, but Kaiser dodges and delivers an Enziguri.

Rhea Ripley rushes the apron and distracts Cody Rhodes, leading him into hitting a Disaster Kick that nearly results in pinfall until Priest breaks it up with a chokeslam. Rhodes tags back in and gets a tremendous ovation from fans after hitting two near fall moves: snap powerslam and Disaster Kick.
